why MEMECore?

In a fast-paced digital environment, tracing the creative evolution and capacity of memes to express cultural ideas—particularly complex, multilayered, intertextual concepts—requires a framework offering a rich but adaptable means of description.  MEMECore seeks to provide the ability to enhance the findability and sharability of meme-like content by providing valuable metadata information about this kind of content.

This metadata project begins the process of creating a linked data solution to tracing the cultural heritage and transmission of memes and meme-like content.
