About this Resource

This website is the work of L.P. Coladangelo (lcoladan@kent.edu) and brings together assignments and coursework from Cultural Heritage Informatics (LIS 60635) as a final

course project.  The work here proposes five possible methods for studying, describing,

and representing contra dance as an intangible cultural heritage: 1) narrative description,

2) object-based cataloging, 3) process-centric modeling, 4) event-based representation, and

5) knowledge organization through thesauri and semantic networks (as well as ontologies).
