Semantic Network View

"Semantic networks are knowledge representation schemes involving nodes and links (arcs or arrows) between nodes. The nodes represent objects or concepts and the links represent relations between nodes...The structure of the network defines its meaning." (Shrotriya & Pandey, 2013, pp. 95-96)

This semantic network view of the dance "Delphiniums and Daisies" offers a glimpse into the relatively complex knowledge base generated from one dance—expressed as eight documented performances—with its associated people, places, and other concepts.  Although this example borders on illegibility, it offers a visualization that a single dance can create connections and interconnections that define an entire domain of cultural heritage.
