Walkthrough Infographic

In another visualization of the contra dance process, this infographic mimics the "walkthrough" a caller will give before each dance is danced, as an opportunity to introduce and teach the dance to the dancers and to give them any helpful hints or instructions before the music starts.  This visualization also gives a brief introduction to the idea of the folk process (see section B1), in which callers and dancers make minute changes—often to revise or refine dances to ease transitions or add some individual flavor—creating variants of an original dance.
